Adopt a Park Soroptimist International of Salinas has taken on a major service project. Once a month, we meet at a park in Salinas that we have adopted. We pick up litter, sweep the walkways, prune the trees and shrubs, plant flowers for color, and do some stencil painting on the storm drains. This keeps the park bright and attractive. All park visitors appreciate our work in the community.We currently fund two special scholarships in the community through Hartnell College: A nursing scholarship and a general scholarship in the amount of $750 each. |
