SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL of WATSONVILLE participates in Saturday of Service!

Soroptimist International of Watsonville chose the Pajaro Valley Shelter Services, as its service project.

A dozen Soroptimist members and women from the shelter planted flowers and plants, installed stepping stones, weeded, pruned plants and trees and spread shredded redwood in the shelter's flower beds.

Soroptimist members donated money for the project. Plants and other supplies were donated by Suncrest Nurseries, Cabrillo Sand and Gravel, and Aptos Landscape supply. Working together with the women of the shelter was very gratifying. Thanks to Betty Rather and Ana Ventura Phares our chairmen, Sue Bloom our expert in gardening, Judy Cox, who delivered the shredded redwood, the S.O.S. event was a success. Thank you to all of the Watsonville Club members who participated.
