President Kurt J. Papenhause

In 2000, we received a $10,000 Making a Difference for Women Grant to start “Get Access,” Women & Youth after-school computer skills training.

Our club supports three College of San Mateo Scholarships. The Ada R. Beveridge, Ruth Weston and Anne Brubaker Scholarships, at $500 each. Our club also awards 3 renewable college/university scholarships called The Susan J. Cockcroft Memorial Scholarships. These awards are for 4 years at $1,000 each year. These awards are presented along with other Soroptimist awards at our May Awards Luncheon.

This year, 2007, we presented our third Second Year "Women's Opportunity Award". This award came about from a generous donation from our Life Member, Nancy Frank, thus it was named after our benefactor, The Nancy Frank Second Year Women's Opportunity Award.

President Kurt has recruited a new member to help him
with his 2nd time around as President
