SI Santa Clara is well known in the community for our Casino Night. We hire an outside company to provide the gaming tables, black jack, craps and roulette. They set up, take down, provide the pit bosses and dealers, and help determine the number of tables we need. We expect our recipient organizations to volunteer the night of the event. We hold the Casino Night at our local art museum. It has a full kitchen, so we can provide the food, which is donated, and the cash bar. We keep the ticket price reasonable to encourage attendance, which includes an initial amount of scrip and food. Additional scrip is sold throughout the evening. Since the object is to raise money, you need lots of prizes to give away in lieu of winning cash, and we also include a donation drawing. We have a program book where we list our sponsors, recipient organizations, and information about Soroptimist International of Santa Clara. On Casino Night, we make money from table sponsorships, scrip sales, bar sales, and a donation drawing. With 400 people attending, we can clear $30,000. Casino Night, Spring
