SI of Lodi Sunrise held their 15th Classic Clothing Sale. All during the year, members collect “Gently Used Clothing” for sale. The sale is held the Saturday closest to the end of February. On the Sunday before the sale, members move tables, clothing, etc. from the Lodi Women’s Center to the site of the sale. The sale is traditionally held in a donated empty store in a local mall. Members work every night during that week sorting, hanging, ironing and pricing the clothing. The last few years we have also added jewelry, shoes, and purses to the sale inventory. In 1996, we added a preview night on Friday night.

A limited number of tickets are sold to friends and family. Members donate hors d’oeuvres, and drinks to serve that evening. Receipts from ticket sales for the preview night average $350. Sales receipts from the preview night have averaged $900. Receipts from the Saturday public sale are approximately $3,000.

The date for the next Classic Clothing Sale is March 3, 2007, with the Pre-Sale Gala on March 2, 2007.
