Soroptimist of the Year

This year's award was presented to Suzette Titus. In addition to being a very active member of SI Oakdale serving as Vice President; Junior Miss Program chair, and Spirit Tree chair she does any umber of numerous (behind the scenes) jobs for our club. This year Suzette & her husband, Dan, were presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by our Chamber of Commerce. She works closely with our local hospital foundation and the hospital Auxiliary by working in their gift shop.

Presidents Award

This award was given to Lynne Sylvester our incoming President for the 2008-2009 SI Oakdale year. This year Lynne served as our President-elect and over saw our Program and Fundraising committees. She was responsible for scheduling speakers for our program meetings and filling in when our President was not present. She has been a member of SI Oakdale since 2004 and jumped in with both feet. Lynne is a true Soroptimist in every sense.

UPCOMING EVENTS

On Wednesday, May 28th we will be joining the Oak Valley Hospital Auxiliary for lunch. It is going to be held at 12:00 pm in the conference room of our new medical building. SI members are providing the salads and the Auxiliary members the dessert. This has become an annual event and we look forward to it every year as SI Oakdale was instrumental in the organization of this wonderful group of ladies. Next on our schedule will be our installation luncheon to be held Wednesday, June 18th, 12:00 pm at The Almond Pavilion. We will be installing President Lynne Sylvester and our board of directors for 2008-2009.
