Again this year, SI Atwater served as registrars for the yearly McLane Pacific Cycling Classic.

The United Way receives the proceeds from the McLane Pacific Bike Classic. It is a sanctioned race and one of the best courses according to the riders.

The day started at 6:00 a.m. and ended at 4:00 p.m. Participating members were Bo Petty, Carol Gray, Dorothy Bizzini, Barbara Stroud, Jane Edwards, Wendy Corvelo, Terry Solano, Dale Griffin, Elaine Parker, Margo Bonnet, Lois Wells, Fran Barrett, Trisha Backers, Tom & Barbara Ward (non-members), and last but least Lori Robles.

Lori coordinates this every year and gets us all there and smiling. "You are awesome it is exciting to know that we are doing community service with our fellow Soroptimist members across the country. We are providing a crucial service in our county by welcoming 1.600 cyclists to Merced! It's almost as exciting as hosting the Olympics!"
