SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL of CERES participates in Saturday of Service, 2004

On Saturday, March 6, 2004, about 15 club members met at Don Pedro Elementary School Library for our Saturday Of Service, which included books, fun and food!

Librarian, Kathy Irwin, greeted us and treated us to a wonderful assortment of refreshments.

Under Kathy's guidance, we unpacked and stamped new books, alphabetized and arranged books on shelves, labeled and bar coded books, and cleaned and repaired the gunky ones.

A few un-named members couldn't resist taking a break to read a book or two! Although this was a small library, there was an awful lot of work needed.

After a wonderfully fun morning, the very appreciative Librarian gave us all a package of fragrant footbath powder and a big THANK YOU for our efforts.

Once our work was done, we went to LaMorenita, still wearing our bright red SOS shirts, promoting Soroptimist, and had a very nice lunch. This was yet another successful Saturday Of Service.
