WELCOME to DISTRICT IV!
The largest of our Sierra Pacific region, District IV is comprised of 12 clubs that encompass the fertile Central Valley as well as several of our
beautiful foothill communities. Our clubs are as active as the dynamic women that lead them!
Our clubs represent the communities of Atwater, Ceres, Chowchilla, Gustine-Newman, Los Banos, Madera, Mariposa,
Merced, Modesto, Modesto North, Patterson and The Sierras. As we look forward to this biennium, we intend to grow our
district by re-chartering a club in HUGHSON. Our clubs are known for their community spirit, cooperation and commitment to “Best for Women” Our district had 100 % participation in our
Women’s Opportunity Award. This award supports a woman from each club in returning to her education to improve her status as an independent head of household. Clubs are active in fundraising, with a focus on FUN! They raise money for a variety of vital community projects including MOMobile in Stanislaus County,
Women’s Shelters and Heath Clinics. We will launch the “Live Your Dream” project this year and encourage young women to excel thru our commitments to S Clubs,
Violet Richardson Award, and a vast assortment of scholarships available to support young women and girls.
In addition, our district will recruit graduate students for fellowships to further our mission of becoming a global voice for women. If you are a professional or executive woman, seeking to Make a Difference in your community, Soroptimist has a place for you.
Please contact me, or the Club President in your area to answer any questions you may have about membership.
If there is not a club in your town, please call me to discuss creating a new charter for your area. DARE TO BE REMARKABLE…BECOME A SOROPTIMIST…MAKE A DIFFERENCE Lynis
