SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL of MADERA FUNDRAISERS

Crab Feed
This year marks the Soroptimist International's 15th Annual Crab Feed. This is our premier fundraiser and a community favorite. We traditionally sell out for this event. We serve salad, garlic bread, pasta and, of course, crab. During the evening we have a silent auction and various raffles. The Madera Interact Club and Camp Fire USA always provide the crab feed with excellent help for this fun-filled evening. The Crab Feed will be held this year at Holy Spouses Hall on Saturday, February 25, 2006.

See's Candy Sales
This is our low-key fundraiser for the year. Members purchase candy for themselves and friends and relatives and some of our members buy candy to sell at their places of business.

Trees for Charity
The first Saturday in December is an exciting time for Madera locals. Various organizations decorate trees and wreaths which are auctioned off at a semi-formal evening of dinner and dance. Proceeds from the trees are donated to various local charities. The Sunday following the dinner, a breakfast with Santa is held for the children and this gives everyone a chance to view the trees before they are delivered to the winning bidders.
