SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL of MERCED
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Soroptimist International of Merced recognizes special women through its Women Helping Women and Women of Distinction awards.

The Women Helping Women award was established in 1974. It is designed to publically reinforce Soroptimist’s founding principle to advance the status of women by honoring leaders in the community who have helped other women.

The Women of Distinction awards are designed to recognize women in the Merced area who have made outstanding contributions in one of the following Soroptimist program areas: Economic and Social Development; Education; Environment; Health; Human Rights / Status of Women; and International Goodwill and Understanding.
