In a community where good home cooking and a Sunday morning family event are both high priorities, we find this project a well-attended and established event. The Breakfast is held in the fall and is embellished by sales of decorated pumpkins. We also have a bake sale which is provided by our members, and a craft faire in the lobby in which local crafters can show their wares. These activities offer an opportunity for people to visit and shop, which adds to their morning experience.

Procuring supplies is the key to profit for this event. Many of our suppliers have repeatedly helped our club with donations of food because this event supports many of our Club's scholarships and local community donations.

Members of our locally sponsored "S" Clubs at Central Catholic High School and Downey High School are given an opportunity to help with preparation, serving and clean up, which provides them with community service hours. Organizational skills are practiced as well as an invaluable chance for these students to work together with our own club members. Tips they earn for serving are contributed to their individual clubs.

We also include a Canned Food Drive. People are asked to donate cans of food and in so doing receive one ticket for each can of food they bring. The ticket is for a drawing; the prize is a dinner for two at a local restaurant. The canned food is then donated to our local Gospel Mission or Interfaith Ministries. This serves as a "mini service project" within our primary fund raising event.

Placemats are provided and offer a chance for businesses and individuals alike to place ads. We have approximately 36 spots for different sponsors. Feel free to call if you'd like your business represented.
