GOVERNOR-ELECT BARBARA GIAMBASTINI

I was born and raised in San Francisco—“the city by the bay.” I left San Francisco when I married Richard in 1961 and have lived in Tracy since 1963. We have one son and two beautiful granddaughters.

My introduction to Soroptimist was in 1983 when one of my customers invited me to join and the journey began. What fun I have had serving both the club and the region in many capacities. Friendships have been made and knowledge has been gained.

This biennium will be an exciting time for all Soroptimists and I am looking forward to being part of the 2006–2008 Sierra Pacific Region Team.
