Soroptimist International is a global organization for
women in management and the professions, working through service projects
to advance the human rights and the status of women.
STRATEGIC PLAN

women committed to improving the lives of women and girls.
We will share our time, talents, and financial resources
to enrich our community. Together, we will:

Strategic Outcomes (Goals)
1. Membership: Sierra Pacific Region will be a thriving,
progressive organization with members who find involvement relevant and
valuable.
Objectives:
- Increase membership
- Develop a new generation of members
- Improve member retention rates
- Increase the diversity of members
- Enhance member pride through education in Soroptimist
traditions
- Improve community awareness of Soroptimist
International Sierra Pacific Region
2. Soroptimist Programs: Sierra Pacific Region
will promote awareness of Soroptimist programs and implement them where
relevant.
Objectives:
- Stay current on womens
and childrens human rights issues/problems
- Wherever possible, focus club program on women
and children
- Enhance knowledge of United
Nations collaboration
- Encourage and increase member participation
in Soroptimist programs
3. Service: Sierra Pacific Region will develop
service commitments, providing ample opportunity for participation so
that all members appreciate and value their involvement.
Objectives:
- Encourage and promote hands-on
involvement in service
- Develop service opportunities that cross club
and/or district boundaries
- Identify and recognize members non-Soroptimist
service activities
4. Communications: Sierra Pacific Region will
communicate effectively with the membership, insuring that all members
stay current on activities/information, regarding the club, region, and
federation
Objectives:
- Educate region committee members
regarding their district responsibilities
- Regularly summarize and disseminate district,
region, and federation materials and information
- Take advantage of technology, whenever it is
reasonable, to enhance communications within the region
- Review region communication mechanization upgrading
content and format where appropriate
5. Finance: Sierra Pacific Region will be financially
able to support all region activities and administration.
Objectives:
- Implement a regular meeting
schedule for the Finance Committee
- Monitor financial instruments and manage to
maximize return
- Identify financial requirements for Soroptimist
programs and budget accordingly
